The KD11 is a special column created to meet the needs of modern developers and low threshold entries. Since 2003 disability regulations have been introduced to allow level access into most new build homes. As a result the taller Doric column designs needed to be trimmed, which wasted both time and money. The KD11 column simply combines our most popular K1102 polyurethane shaft with a tough duropolymer round plinth, creating a neat 2120mm high pillar.
On new build applications simply sleeve the components over structural supports before adding a canopy, or first floor blockwork. On refurbishments simply purchase 2 x KD11H half columns to create 1 KD11 full column. Each KD11 comes painted in white primer, and requires only a top coat of paint to finish. Remember to select FDP700 and FX200 for exterior (or humid bathroom) installations, and FDP500 and FX200 for interior installations.
